The Travel Mug gives thanks for Paris

What a chateau. Look at the Travel Mug’s view. I know what the Mug is thankful for…If only there wasn’t that illuminated metallic structure *right* there in the middle of the window. Geez!
What are you thankful for this holiday week?

The Mug is also thankful to add another pin to the Big Map!

Don’t forget to send in photos from your mug’s journey. Until next adventure….Happy Thanksgiving.

Travel Mug takes a dip in Portugal

When you think Portugal, do think beautiful sand, gorgeous skies and relaxing by the pool? That’s ok, me neither. But surprise, surprise the Travel Mug has just returned from a relaxing vacation in none other than sun and sand in Portugal.

First up, a picturesque afternoon in Sagres for a dip in the Atlantic.
Then over to Lisbon, for a pool side view that whispers relaxation.
I don’t know about you, but next time I think sun, sand and tan, I am adding Portugal to the list!

Until next time, safe travels.

The Travel Mug’s friends send in photos from their adventures

Ask and she will receive! Woo hoo — the Travel Mug has been requesting that you send in your photos from across the globe. And a few have! And a some, like Confessions Mom, are planning a visit to the Clay Coyote Gallery to pick up a mug pre-adventure.

Here is a TM cousin, in Gresham, OR taking in the quiet morning over the links, deciding if there is time for 9 or 18 today.
And another reader, Meredith, sent in this beauty from the Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, FL. The sculpture garden representation of his famed 1931 painting “The Persistence of Memory” is stunning. I think that the Travel Mug should pop over to MoMA in NYC to see the original.
That’s all from the Travel Mug now, stay tuned for some amazing adventures in Portugal later this week! Until then, pop over to the Big Map to see where the TM has been.

Safe Travels,

Travel Mug has a pint in Dublin

The mug pulled up a spot at Dublin’s famed Temple Bar. According to wikipedia, “It probably got its name from the Temple family, who lived in the area in the 17th century; Sir William Temple, provost of Trinity College Dublin in 1609, had his house and gardens here. However it got its name, the earliest historical reference to the name Temple Bar is on a 1673 map.”

The Mug is shown here waiting on a keg to be filled! One can only imagine the Mug ordered a Guinness.

And after a little nip, the Mug headed off to the River Liffey, for a stroll along the historic bank.
Have you taken you own Travel Mug on any adventures? Send them in to us at claypot@hutchtel.net and we will add the photos to the Big Map.
